Eastern Nazarene College is proud to partner with our U.S. military veterans and active service men and women to provide an education that builds upon their training in leadership, teamwork and critical thinking. ENC understands the skills developed through military service are excellent training for success in the business world. Our goal is to supplement that training with coursework designed to expand on those skills learned while in the service.
Here are some of the ways Eastern Nazarene College partners with Military Veterans:
Flexible Start Dates
We grant admitted veterans an automatic one-year deferment in the case of education plans becoming delayed by their service branch meaning you will be able to enter our program upon your return. Our cohorts generally start every Spring and Fall and we accept applications at any point in time.
GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program
Eastern Nazarene College is pleased to participate in both the Post 9/11 GI Bill [pdf] as well as the Yellow Ribbon Program. We encourage military members to go online to the ebenefits website to learn more about veteran benefits and to access the application for education benefits. Students that choose to attend ENC have little to no out of pocket expenses when their military benefits are accepted.
Our team of experienced staff is available to personally meet your needs in financial aid, academic advising, registration and admissions. Students have free access to the Center for Academic Success. The CAS is designed to develop students in becoming independent and active learners by providing a variety of services in writing support, peer tutoring, disability services, and more!
To meet the needs of our working students, we schedule our classes to meet one night a week for 6 weeks so that they are able to graduate with a full degree in 2 years. Our campus is within walking distance from the Wollaston Redline stop on the MBTA subway. We also accommodate students with free parking.
Our classes are different from traditional undergrad college programs because they are designed for adults that have experience in a variety of working, professional and academic settings. The cohort model allows students to grow academically and professionally from the first day of class all the way through graduation.
